Tuberculosis is a chronic and fatal infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis and its mortality rate is second only to AIDS,which seriously affects the health of patients.In recent years,with the emergence of drug-resistant tuberculosis,especially multi drug resistant tuberculosis,extensively drug-resistant tuberculosis and AIDS complicated with tuberculosis has undoubtedly brought more severe challenges to the treatment of tuberculosis.The research and development of new anti-tuberculosis drugs is a new trend in the control and prevention of tuberculosis.Natural medicine resources are rich in China,and diverse in species,complex in component,mild in efficacy.Furthermore,it can improve human body’s internal environment and enhance human resistance.Chinese medicine still has the characteristics of small side effect,more safety,no damages to gastrointestinal tract and little stimulation to liver and kidney.Chinese medicine contains antibiosis,anti-inflammatory,analgesic,antioxidant and other compounds,such as artemisinin,which is a antimalarial active monomer separated from Artemisia Artemisia by our famous scientist,Tu youyou.Morphine is an analgesic compound extracted from poppy.In the new anti tuberculosis drugs,tryptophone(in vitro bacteriostasis effect is superior to isoniazid,indoloquinazolone alkaloid isolated from the leaves),alexin(isolated from higher plants,vertebrates and invertebrates,with a better anti tuberculosis activity in vitro),enviomycin and sulfur acetamycin are natural sources.Therefore,natural medicine can be used as a natural molecular library for discovering new anti tuberculosis drugs.By screening a large number of samples,it was found that the ethanol extract of Leonurus artemisia(Laur.)S.Y.Hu F had a better inhibitory activity of Mycobacterium tuberculosis,and showed synergism with the combination of isoniazid,azinamid and rifampicin.The ethanol extract(140 g)ofLeonurus artemisia(Laur.)S.Y.Hu F was extracted to obtain four fractions of a petroleum ether fraction(45 g),an ethyl acetate fraction(40 g),a dichloromethane fraction(8 g),and a residue(49 g).After further activity tracking,compound 1 with the activity of inhibiting Mycobacterium tuberculosis was separated from the ethyl acetate extracts of Leonurus artemisia(Laur.)S.Y.Hu F.It was identified as leonurine,and the MIC value was 80μg/ml.Tuberculosis is divided into tuberculosis and extrapulmonary tuberculosis,and uterine tuberculosis belongs to extrapulmonary tuberculosis,which is the main cause of infertility.Leonurus artemisia(Laur.)S.Y.Hu F is a traditional Chinese medicine,which was used in the treatment of gynecological diseases.And the YMC01 has the activity of Mycobacterium tuberculosis,which was isolated from the extraction site of ethyl acetate extract from Leonurus Leonuri.In the pre experiment,it was found that YMC01 was distributed in the uterus and appendages of mice.This discovery provides a new clue for the treatment of uterine tuberculosis.
