| Objective: Type 2 diabetes is a disease caused by interaction among genetic,environmental and various metabolic risk factors.Investigating the morbidity of diabetes among people over 60 years old in Tianjin Binhai New Area and being familiar with the clinical indicators and habits of the elderly diabetic patients can help us to find the potential risk factors of type 2 diabetes,and to find its influence on other organs.Understand status of diabetes education in China.Promote the development of diabetes education and community management.Evaluate the effects of exercise on prediabetes patients,and to further adjust the exercise mode according to the results.Explore the most helpful exercise pattern for patients with prediabetes.Method: Data were derived from the Tianjin community health service information system.The data are physical examination of people over 60 years old in the Tianjin Binhai New Area during January 2015 to December 2017.Exclude the repeated and missing data.Analyze the incidence of diabetes during 2015-2017.After further cleaning the data,cross-section study of age,waist circumference,BMI,clinical laboratory indexes and living habits was performed.Review the changes of the indexes during 2015-2017.Subjects with prediabetes were selected from the Metabolic Hospital of Tianjin Medical University during 2017.07-2017.11.The subjects were treated with exercise intervention and health education for 12 weeks.Before and after the intervention,the clinical laboratory indexes,body shape,functional fitness,visceral fat,muscle strength and GWB schedule were measured.Result: 1.The prevalence rates of diabetes in people over 60 years old were 18.9%,19.4% and 19.5% in Binhai New Area in 2015-2017.The prevalence rate of diabetes was highest in 70-79 years old people.2.The prevalence rates of hypertension in people over 60 years old was 52.7%,53.2% and 51.6% in Binhai New Area in 2015-2017.The prevalence rate of diabetes was highest in 80-89 years old people in 2015.In 2016 and 2017,the prevalence rate of hypertension at 80-89 years was the highest.3.In diabetic patients,age,BMI,waist circumference,SBP,DBP,FBG,TG,BUN,WBC and NLR were significantly higher than those in people without diabetes.and the level of PLT,HGB decreased significantly.In 2015-2017,the age of elderly diabetic patients was growing,and the blood pressure level was also increased.Waist circumference and BMI changed significantly in 2017.In 2015 and 2016,the level of TC in DM group was significantly higher than that in non-diabetic group.But in 2017,it was lower than that in non-diabetic group.The level of FBG in the elderly diabetic patients increased year by year,and TC decreased.TG increased significantly in 2017.The levels of BUN,HB,WBC,PLT and NLR were also different.` 4.Smoking,regular drinking and no exercise rates in elderly diabetic population are significantly lower than that in non-diabetic population.In the past 3 years,the smoking rate and frequent drinking rate of elderly diabetic patients were increased.5.In 2015-2017,the prevalence rates of hypertension in elderly diabetic patients in Binhai New Area are significantly higher than those in non-diabetic population,which are 75.8%,74.5% and 73.1%,respectively.6.OGTT 2h blood glucose,insulin,HOMA-IR,glycosylated hemoglobin,triglyceride,LDL-c and neutrophils decreased significantly in prediabetic patients after interventions,and changes in other laboratory indexes were not significantly.After the interventions,WHR and visceral fat significantly decreased,the levels of 30 s arm flexion and extension,30 s chair stand test,2 min mark time,6 min walk,VO2 max and score of GBW schedule increased significantly.Conclusion: The prevalence of diabetes in Tianjin Binhai New Area increased year by year.The age,weight,BMI,waist circumference,SBP,DBP,FBG,TG,BUN,WBC and NLR of diabetic patients increased,but HGB and PLT decreased.These changes indicated that some of them are risk factors of diabetes or there are multiple organs injuries caused by diabetes.Diabetic patients have paid more attention to change their life style.Aerobic exercise with some strength training for prediabetes population can reduce postprandial blood glucose,reduce inflammation and insulin resistance,increase activity endurance,improve the distribution of adipose tissue and mood. |
