The Epstein-barr virus(EBV)is a member of the human herpesvirus gamma family and is the world's first recognized human tumorigenesis virus.Epstein-Barr virus infection is divided into lytic infections and latent infections, and latent infections are mainly related to tumorigenesis. The types of tumors associated with EB virus infection mainly include B cells,T cells,NK/T cells, epithelial cells, and smooth muscle cells, and different types of tumors determine the differences in the expression of latent virus antigens.Traditional treatment methods for tumors include surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy,or combination.Adoptive cellular immunotherapy is a new type of cancer treatment after traditional treatment.EBV-CTLs are a type of adoptive immunotherapy. This article reviews the related research progress of the molecular basis, different preparation methods and clinical applications of EBV-CTLs immunotherapy, and immune checkpoint inhibitors to enhance the anti-tumor effect of EBV-CTLs,in order to improve the efficiency of the treatment of patients with EBV infection-associated tumors and improve the quality of the patient's life.
