| Glaucoma is a progressive characteristic optic neuropathy. It is manifested as optic nerve injury and corresponding visual field defect. It has blindness and irreversibility.Especially for primary open-angle glaucoma, because it has no obvious clinical symptoms,it is often missed or misdiagnosed, leading to blindness.Early detection and early treatment can avoid blindness and improve the quality of life of patients with glaucoma. Now optical coherence tomography(OCT)is of great significance for early diagnosis of primary open angle glaucoma.Ganglion cell layer(GCL),ganglion cells complex(GCC),and retinal ganglion cell layer of nerve fibers(RNFGCL)parameters in OCT have diagnostic value of early glaucoma.Relatively new OCT technologies also include Swept-Source OCT,OCT angiography,Adaptive optics-optical coherence tomography(AO-OCT),and so on;Multiple pathogenesis has also diversified the treatment of glaucoma. The current treatments including drug therapy(The newer drug dosage forms have fixed dose combinations[FDCs]/injectable slow-release drug, etc.),laser treatments(ALT/SLT,etc.),and surgical treatments, includeing commonly used trabeculectomy, and subsequent glaucoma drainage implants(GDIs),nonpenetrating glaucoma surgerys(NPGS),and microinvasive glaucoma surgery(MIGS),etc. This article mainly reviews the recent literatures related to glaucoma diagnosis and treatment.Focus on early diagnosis of primary open angle glaucoma and major drugs, surgical treatment. |
