Ultra-wide-field Fundus Fluorescein Angiographic Study On Vascular Leakages In Peripheral Retina Of Relatively Healthy Eyes

Objective:To investigate the vascular leakages and its influencing factors in the peripheral retina of relatively healthy eyes using ultra-wide-field fluorescein angiography(UWFA)in order to improve the cognitive level of the peripheral retina.Methods:A total of 46 cases with 50 relatively healthy eyes who met the inclusion criteria in this study were selected.The fundus images of the peripheral retina was taken in the middle and late phases of UWFA using the British Optos 200Tx confocal laser fundus angiography system to maily observe vascular leakages.Results:The vascular leakages in the peripheral retina of relatively healthy eyes gradually reduced with increasing age.There was statistically significant difference in the eye number with vascular leakages in the peripheral retina between age≤45 and>45 years groups(Χ~2=5.614,P=0.018).With the increment of myopia,the incidence rate increased gradually.There was statistically significant difference in the eye number with vascular leakages in the peripheral retina between myopic and emmetropic groups(X~2=6.487,P=0.016).There was no statistically significant difference in the eye number with vascular leakages in the peripheral retina between male and female groups.(Χ~2=0.016,P=0.595).Conclusions:There may be vascular leakages in the peripheral retina in relatively healthy eyes with no definite eye disease history and ocular manifestations.With the younger age and the more severe myopic degree,the more likely it is to appear vascular leakages in the peripheral retina and has no correlation with gender.
