Abstract/Summary:
Objective:This study examined the association between the mutation of EGFR(EGFR)and the TNM staging of non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)to investigate whether EGFR mutations affect the proliferation of lung cancer. And transfer.Provides reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment of NSCLC.Methods:1 Case collectionContinuous collection of NSCLC patients admitted to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University from September 2016 to December 2017 through routine hematoxylin-eosin staining(HE)and/or immunohistochemistry(IHC)methods. In addition,62 patients with EGFR status confirmed by PCR-immunofluorescence were the target of the study. There were 30 male patients and 32 female patients aged 40-78 years.Patient smoking history, imaging data at the initial visit, postoperative pathologic data, and postoperative imaging data.2 Experimental methodsHematoxylin-eosin staining(HE)and immunohistochemistry(IHC)were used to confirm the diagnosis of NSCLC.3 The staging of tumors was based on the clinical evaluation of the lung cancer TNM staging of the eighth edition of UICCD.All subjects were divided into the EGFR mutation group and the non-mutation group.Record the general situation of the study subjects and TNM staging. All statistical data were statistically analyzed using SPSS 24.0 software.Results:1 There were 62 patients who were included in the study. There are 30 male patients and 32 female patients.Between the ages of 40 and 78,the average age is 55 years old. There were 33 cases of smoking history and 29 cases of no smoking history. There were 35 cases of adenocarcinoma and 27 cases of other types.2 There was no significant correlation between EGFR gene mutation and patient age(P<0.05).The difference was not statistically significant. There was a significant correlation between the patient’s EGFR gene mutation and the patient’s gender, histological type, and whether he had a smoking history(P<0.05).The difference was statistically significant. In female patients, the mutation rate of EGFR is 62.5%,while the mutation rate of EGFR in male patients is 26.7%.The EGFR gene mutation in female patients is higher than that in males. The EGFR mutation rate was 60.0%in the adenocarcinoma and 25.9%in other pathological types. The EGFR mutation rate in adenocarcinoma was higher than in other pathological types. The non-smoking history had an EGFR mutation rate of 62.1%and the smoking history had an EGFRmutation rate of 30.3%.The non-smoking history had a higher EGFR mutation ratethan smoking history.3 There was no significant correlation between EGFR mutation status and T stage in lung cancer patients, and there was no significant difference(P>0.05).There was asignificant correlation between the EGFR mutation status of the patient and thepatient’s N and M phases(P>0.05).The incidence of NO in the mutant group was 44.1%,and the mutation was more prone to the early N stage, that is,the incidence of EGFR mutation without lymph node metastasis was higher. The distant metastasis rate of EGFR mutation was 67.9%,and the distant metastasis rate of non-mutant EGFR was 32.1%.In other words, the distant metastasis of patients with EGFR mutations was higher than those without EGFR mutations. Conclusion:This study analyzed the association of EGFR with general conditions and TNM staging in patients with non-small cell lung cancer, and reached the following conclusions:1.The EGFR mutation status of the patient is related to the smoking history and the patient’s sex and pathological type.Among them, women, adenocarcinomas and non-smoking patients have a higher incidence of EGFR mutations.2.The EGFR mutation status is related to the patient’s N stage and M stage, and negatively related to the N stage. The incidence of distant metastasis in lung cancer patients with M-staging and EGFR mutations was higher than those without EGFR mutations.3.The results of this study remind clinicians that patients with EGFR mutations are more likely to have distant metastases and that even if lymph node metastases are not detected, the possibility of distant metastasis cannot be ruled out.
