ObjectiveTo observe whether the Traditional Chinese Medicine combined with Remifemin can perferably alleviate the low estrogen symptoms of kidney yin deficiency, which iscaused by the use of gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist(GnRH-a)in the treatment of Adenomyosis and Endometriosis III-IV postoperative.MethodsAmong the outpatients visiting the Gynaecology clinic of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from April 1,2016 to July 31,2017 who were diagnosed with Adenomyosis and Endometriosis III-IV and were treated with GnRH-a for three to six months,we selected 59 patients who were considered as the type of kidney yin deficiency and divided into 2 groups with observation time of 12 months.Group A are Remifemin group,Group B are The Traditional Chinese Medicine combined with Remifemin group. All the patients are treated with GnRH-a while Group A were treated with Remifemin alone(0.56 g/d)and Group B were treated additionally with the traditional chinese medicine of Zuogui while applying the same treatment used in Group A.Every four weeks we compared the modified Kupperman score of two groups. The uterine size and pelvic endometriosis recurrences were observed by the vaginal ultrasound after fourteen weeks of the treatment.SPSS 20.0 software is used for data analysis.ResultsTwo independent samples t-test were used for comparison between groups. The paired t-test was used before and after treatment.Multiple groups of measurement data were compared using repeated measures analysis of variance to compare the two groups, compared results as below:(1)After the treatment for4 weeks and 8 weeks, there was no significant difference of the improved Kupperman score between the two groups. After 12 weeks of treatment, there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups in the improvement of the Kupperman score.(2)There was no significant difference of the improved Kupperman score between the two groups in the 8th week of treatment and the 4th week of treatment. But after 12 weeks of treatment, there was statistically significant difference.(3)After 12 weeks of treatment, among the14 symptoms included in the modified Kupperman score, the symptom improvement in The Traditional Chinese Medicine with Remifemin group was statistically significant, compared with the Remifemin group.(4)After 14 weeks of treatment, there was no significant difference in the degree of uterine volume reduction and the postoperative recurrence between the two group.ConclusionThe Traditional Chinese Medicine combined with Remifemin can better alleviate the low estrogen symptoms by the use of GnRH-a,especially in sweating, depression, and joint-muscle pain.It not only unaffected by GnRH-a itself, but also have fewer adverse reactions and improve the quality of life of patients.
