Purpose: To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of acupuncture in the treatment of dysphagia after stroke. Methods: we searched Cochrane Library,EMbase,PubMed,Chinese biomedical literature database(CBM),Chinese PSTP(VIP),China Journal Full-text Database(CNKI)and Wanfang Data knowledge online service platform, included in the randomized controlled trials of acupuncture and moxibustion for treatment of dysphagia after stroke and semi randomized controlled trials, according to Cochrane Reviewer.S Handbook5.1.0 evaluation standards and tools for the included studies of quality evaluation, and statistical analysis was performed using RevMan 5.1 software. Results: a total of 4 randomized controlled trials involving 425 patients were included.4studies mentioned random but not described random allocation method, all studies did not mention the allocation of hidden, blind method and lost access. The Meta analysis results showed that: compared with the conventional rehabilitation treatment group, acupuncture treatment group in the treatment of stroke after swallowing difficulty score obtained relative rate than the conventional rehabilitation treatment group OR=3.43,95%CI(1.94,6.04).No adverse events were reported in the 4 studies. Conclusion: compared with the rehabilitation routine treatment group, the acupuncture treatment group is superior to the rehabilitation routine treatment group in improving the recovery rate of dysphagia after the stroke according to the evaluation criteria of drinking water test. However, due to the low number of Chinese literatures and the low quality of evidence evaluation, more rigorous randomized controlled trials are needed to provide advanced evidence.
