Objective To observe the visual acuity recovery after Nd: YAG laser treatment of Posterior Capsule Opacification(PCO)and explore the related factors that affect visual acuity after PCO.Methods A total of 96 PCO patients undergoing Nd: YAG laser surgery at the Eighth People's Hospital of Shanghai from January 2016 to April 2017 were retrospectively studied. The patients' preoperative and postoperative visual acuity were compared with age and gender,PCO onset time and other factors are related. Results The visual acuity of postoperative patients was significantly higher than that before Nd: YAG laser treatment(P <0.05),and the visual acuity was significantly increased(u = 9.7275,P <0.05).Visual acuity after Nd: YAG laser in PCO patients was related to the onset time of cataract, smoking, and underlying diseases(P <0.05).The postoperative visual acuity in patients with preoperative improvement and PCO onset time(P <0.05).The difference in preoperative visual acuity was significantly associated with systemic underlying disease(P <0.05).There was no significant difference in preoperative and postoperative visual acuity(P> 0.05)between pre-and postoperative patients with underlying diseases and patients taking prescribing medication. The preoperative and postoperative postoperative visual acuity levels of patients with uncorrelated systemic diseases were significantly lower than those without preoperative and postoperative symptoms Patients with underlying disease and regular medication(P <0.05)..Conclusion Visual acuity recovery after Nd: YAG laser is related to the onset time of PCO,smoking, and basic diseases.
