Objective:1.To study the prognoses of cardiac arrest in emergency department of hospital and the related factors that may affect the outcome of cardiopulmonary resuscitation.2.To study the effect of electroacupuncture on neurological outcome and the expression of S100? in nerve cells after resuscitation by stimulating the Baihui in rats.Methods:1.A retrospective analysis from December,2013 to December,2017 was done, including cardiac arrest patients treated in the emergency department. All the outcomes and the factors which may affect the outcomes of CPR were recorded, such as the gender, age, etiology, cardiac arrest occurring area and time, initial rhythm, whether there have been external chest compression or artificial airway, accumulated dosages of epinephrine and Shenfu Injection. These data were used to analyze and find out the relationship between the influencing factors and the outcomes of CPR.2.Thirty five male SD rats were randomized to three groups: the sham operation group(n=5),the EA group(n=15,electroacupuncture after ROSC)and the control group(n=15).All rats in the EA group and the control group were induced into cardiac arrest by asphyxia and had ROSC successfully.Rats in EA group and control group underwent standard CPR.The stimulus of EA included the depth of 2mm,the current of 1mA,frequency of 20 Hz,dilatational wave,30 min a day.Neurological function was evaluated and vein blood was extracted at 6 hours,24 hours and 72 h after ROSC,and serum S100? concentration was detected. Results:During the study period, there were 190 patients were included in the study.Among the 190 cases of cardiac arrest,77 cases(40.5%)had return of spontaneous circulation,113(59.5%)failed to ROSC.9 cases(4.7%)survived.The standard cardiopulmonary resuscitation was associated with ROSC.After the resuscitation, the increase of S100? in electroacupuncture group at 6h was slower than that in the control group, and then slowly decreased to the level of the control group at 72 h.Conclusion:In the process of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, the standard cardiopulmonary resuscitation is beneficial to ROSC in patients with cardiac arrest.Acupuncturing Baihui acupoint may be beneficial to the neurological function of rats after cardiac arrest.
