Primary hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is the most prevalent pathological type of liver cancer in the world.Due to the lack of typical clinical symptoms at the early stage, many patients have lost the chance of radical surgical treatment after they have been diagnosed and have reached the advanced or late stage. In recent years, with the continuous development of minimally invasive interventional technology, the concept of local treatment, combined therapy, and individualized treatment of liver cancer has also been continuously updated. In particular, the combination of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE)and radiofrequency ablation(RFA)is currently the most widely used, most studied, and the efficacy is better than that of TACE alone or RFA.However, there is less research on transcatheter arterial embolization(TAE)combined with RFA.This study selected 134 patients with advanced HCC who were admitted to affiliated hospital of Xiamen University from January 1,2014 to January 1,2016.According to different combination therapy methods, they were divided into TACE+RFA group.(n=76)and TAE+RFA groups(n=58).To investigate the therapeutic effects of two different interventional methods,TACE/TAE combined with RFA on the treatment of advanced HCC,and to better study the clinical guiding significance of combination therapy.According to relevant experimental data, the Child-Pugh score of the TACE+RFA group was significantly better than that of the TAE+RFA group(P<0.05);the incidence of post-treatment complications in the TACE+RFA group was significantly higher than that of the TAE+RFA group;Patients in the TACE+RFA group were significantly longer than those in the TAE+RFA group(P<0.05);there was no significant difference in progression-free survival and 2-year survival rate between the two groups(P>0.05);When the tumor diameter of HCC was>10cm,the 2-year survival rate of TACE+RFA group was significantly higher than that of TAE+RFA group(P<0.05).In summary, the combination of TACE+RFA and TAE+RFA is safe and reliable for the treatment of advanced HCC,There is no significant difference in the long-term efficacy of both;only the tumor with a tumor diameter>10cm.In type HCC,the long-term effect of TACE+RFA is better than TAE+RFA;this has guiding significance for us to choose the optimal combination therapy in clinical practice.
