Atrial fibrillation(AF)is the most common type of arrhythmia.,which has led to heart failure and stroke in the elderly, and has brought heavy burden to patients and even the country.Long non-coding RNAs(IncRNAs),as a subclass of non-coding RNAs,have been reported to play an important role in cardiac pathophysiology.Whether lncRNA plays a role in the development of atrial fibrillation is still unclear. In this study, gene microarray analysis technique was used to analyze the difference in expression level of IncRNAs in left atrial appendages between rats with AF and control rats.352 IncRNAs were detected that up-regulated and down-regulated IncRNAs with significantly different expression at 2 times or more. And 234 were overexpressed more than 2 times,38 were overexpressed more than 5 times,11 were overexpressed more than 10 times, and 119 were low expressed over 2 times, lower than five times were 5 lncRNAs.Subsequently,Gene Ontology(GO)and KEGG(Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes Pathway analysis)were used to analyze the possible functions of lncRNAs.It was speculated that the immune system process, immune response and defense response were involved in the pathogenesis of AF.It lay the foundation for further functional verification of related LncRNAs,explore new targets for prevention and treatment of atrial fibrillation, and open up new atrial fibrillation research.
