Bcakground and PurposeDuring the breeding of experimental mice in the previous period,we found that NCG mice(NOD-Prkdcem26I12rgem26Nju)with a high degree of immunodeficiency had more abnormal diarrhea and death, and in the animal husbandry with the Institute of Zoological Animals,Nanjing University. After communication with the department,it was found that mice of this strain of NCG indeed had a high abnormal mortality rate, and there was a certain degree of drug resistance and repeatability after treatment with antibiotics. Therefore, this experiment hopes to study the phenomenon of abnormal death in NCG mice, and explore the accuracy of the use of antibiotics in this process, aiming to resolve the situation of its abnormal death, while reducing the losses in the breeding of NCG mice.Increased stability and guidance for experiments using NCG mice.Research Contents and ResultsThis experiment firstly cooperated with animal husbandry department of Institute of Zoology and Animal Research of Nanjing University to explore the connection and causes of abnormal diarrhea and death in NCG mice through experiments, and collected the breeding and breeding conditions of NCG mice for half a year.At the same time, the mice died of abnormal death.Perform a necropsy to determine the cause of death. The results showed that most of the deaths of NCG mice were caused by the presence of infections of different organs and had a clear gender tendency.More than 90%of the NCG mice that died abnormally were female mice and they were small. Most of the deaths of mice occurred at the end of lactation after maternal birth;at the same time, the analysis of the data collected on the use of antibiotics in the early stage showed that the mortality rate at the initial stage of treatment was significantly improved, but then repeated,so that the use of antibiotics was accurate.Sex,this experiment was adjusted in conjunction with the abnormal death of NCG mice, which ultimately reduced the mortality of NCG mice and maintained it stable. Conclusion and SignificanceBased on the above research contents and research results,we believe that because NCG mice themselves are highly immunodeficient, pregnancy and production stress will cause damage to the intestinal barrier of mice, resulting in female NCG mice being vulnerable to their own postpartum Intestinal bacterial invasion and infection can even lead to death. Therefore, this experiment used antibiotics precisely after investigation, and controlled the abnormal death of NCG mice in cases where it was too late to cause drug resistance or was too short to be effective. While reducing the loss in the breeding of NCG mice,it adds certain stability and guidance to the experiments using NCG mice.
