| Objective To investigate GRHL3 expression in gastric cancer and explore its role and clinical significance in the process of gastric cancer.Methods The expression of GRHL3 were detected in 100 cases of gastric cancer tissues and 40 cases of adjacent normol tissues by immunohistochemical method,the correlations between the expression of GRHL3 and clinical pathological characteristics and prognosis were analyzed.Result The positive expression rate of GRHL3 in gastric cancer tissues and adjacent normol tissues was 64.0%(64/100)and 25.0%(10/40).The positive expression of GRHL3 was not associated with patient's gender(X~2=0.794,p=0.373),age(X~2=1.500,p=0.211),tumor position(X~2=0.568,p=0.451),tumor size(X~2=1.14,p=0.285),degree of tumor differentiation(X~2=1.382,p=0.240).But it was related to the clinical stage(X~2=7.545,P=0.006).The positive expression of GRHL3 was related to prognosis.Conclusion The expression of GRHL3 in gastric cancer tissues significantly high than adjacent normol tissues and it is associated with the clinical stage.It is of great significance to detect the expression level of GRHL3 in gastric cancer for judging malignant degree of the tumor.It is helpful to the treatment and prognosis analysis of patients with gastric cancer. |
