Objection:The retrospective study of the 49 patients who were going through early glottic cancer, treated in head and neck surgery at Dalian municipal central hospital during November 2008 to January 2013.Exploring the treatment of complications about low temperature plasma radiofrequency ablation therapy on early laryngeal cancer, discussing the curative effect analysis of low temperature plasma radiofrequency ablation therapy on early glottic carcinoma, and provide a reference basis for clinical treatment. Methods:A retrospective analysis of 49 cases of early laryngeal carcinoma was performed in the department of otolaryngology head and neck surgery of Dalian city hospital from November 2008 to January 2013.All of 49 patients were diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma before surgery.34 cases of which were treated by low temperature plasma radiofrequency laryngectomy(plasma group),the other 15 cases were given laryngiofission combined with cordectomy(traditional group).Follow-up way:49 patients were followed up by clinic reexamination taking electronic laryngoscope,or telephones. They were performed postoperative laryngoscope 1 time one month for six months?1 time two months after 6 months for one year?1 time 3months to three years. The postoperative follow-up time is 15 months to 70months,the average follow-up period was 44 months. The postoperative complications and treatments were compared between those two groups. The postoperative local recurrence rate, postoperative survival rate, voice evaluation parameters(fundamental frequency, jitter, shimmer)and voice disorder index were compared between the tow groups. Results:There was no significant difference in postoperative bleeding rate between the two groups(P>0.05).The incidence of postoperative vocal cord adhesion, postoperative vocal cord granuloma and laryngeal edema was lower in the plasma group than in the traditional group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Two groups of patients had compared no tumor survival rate for 2 years(x2=0.631,P>0.05),and the difference was not statistically significant. The cumulative survival rate of the two groups(x~2=0.136,P>0.05)was not statistically significant. There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups of preoperative F0,Jitter and Shimmer mean(P<0.05).The average value of F0,Jitter and Shimmer in the plasma group was lower than that in the traditional group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The mean of F0 in both groups was significantly higher than before treatment. The scores of VHI scale in both groups had no difference before surgery(P>0.05).The scores of VHI scale in both groups were significantly lower than that in the first year after surgery, the scores of VHI scale in plasma patients were lower than that in the traditional group 1 year after operation, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Compared with the traditional group recurrence rate and survival rate, the plasma group has a lower complication rate, and the postoperative voice function of plasma group is better than that of the traditional group. It is worth to promote the application in early stage laryngeal carcinoma.
