Objective: To investigate the “Small-world” network topological structure differences between the chronic migraine patients and the healthy control group by using resting-state brain complex networks constructed based on graph theory analysis.Methods:From December 2016 to February 2018,16 chronic migraine patients(CM)and 18 gender-age-matched healthy control(HC)were roled in this study.Collecting resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging dataset from two groups,constructing the functional complex networks of the two groups,and analyzing small worldness(?>1,??1,and ?=?/?>1,the network has the property of small world)and the parameters including average clustering coefficient(Cp),characteristic path length(Lp)? global efficiency(Eglob)?local efficiency(Eloc)of the two groups were respectively calculated.Result:In the range of sparsity 0.05 to 0.32.both the CM group and the HC Group meet the property of small world(? vaule,2.0487 ± 0.7569 vs.1.8947 ± 0.5196;?vaule,1.1493±0.1374 vs.1.2134±0.1803;?vaule,1.746±0.4122 vs.1.56485±0.20758),but the property of small world changes in CM patients compare to the healthy population,and there is a significant difference in?value between the two groups(P=0.016).Both the Cp value and Cp value of the CM group are less than those of the healthy control group(Cp,0.5417±0.0795 vs.0.5610±0.0847,Lp,2.3272±0.8967 vs.2.5646±1.190),and there are significant differences in Cp value(P=0.017)and Lp value(P=0.028).Both the Eglob value and Eloc value of the CM group are more than those of the healthy control group(Eglob,0.4742±0.1242 vs.0.4530±0.1325,Eloc,0.6920±0.1040 vs.0.6955±0.1111),however,there is only a significant difference in Eglob value(P =0.049).Conclusion:The CM patients have the property of small world,but they have lower average clustering coefficient(Cp),lower characteristic path length(Lp)and higher global efficiency(Eglob)in brain network structure,which may be due to brain function compensation.
