Objective:Test the concentrations of interleukin-1beta(IL-1beta),interleukin-33(IL-33)and neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio(NLR)in peripheral blood in patients with atrial fibrillation,to explore the relationship between the IL-1beta,NLR and atrial fibrillation.Methods:We selected 60 patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation at the Fourth People’s Hospital of Ji’nan City from January 2016 to January 2017,including 28 patients with persistent atrial fibrillation,and 32 patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation.We also selected 32 patients with sinus rhythm who were admitted to the hospital during the same period as control group.The concentrations of IL-1β and IL-33 were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Left atrial dimension(LAD)and left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)were measured by echocardiography.By comparing the levels of IL-1β,IL-33,NLR and LAD in the peripheral blood of atrial fibrillation group and control group,the correlation between inflammatory factors IL-1β,IL-33,NLR and atrial fibrillation was explored.Results:(1)The concentrations of IL-1beta,NLR and LAD in the above groups were paroxysmal atrial fibrillation group(24.44 ± 4.89)ng/L,(2.51 ± 1.22)%,(36.16 ± 6.12)mm,persistent atrial fibrillation group(26.95 ± 5.86)ng/L,(5.7 ± 1.8)%,(39.36 ± 4.78)mm and control group(19.53±4.51)ng/L,(1.82 ± 0.41)%,(33.31 ± 2.89)mm.There were statistical difference(F=16.74,11.82,14.85,P<0.01)among this three groups and these three indexes of persistent atrial fibrillation group,paroxysmal atrial fibrillation group are higher than the control group(P>0.05).(2)The persistent atrial fibrillation group concentrations of NLR and LAD value(5.7 ± 1.8)%,(39.36 ± 4.78)mm were significantly higher(P<0.01)than the paroxysmal atrial fibrillation group(2.51 ± 1.22)%,(36.16 ± 6.12)mm,but the level of IL-1beta in this two groups(26.95 ± 5.86)ng/L,(24.44 ± 4.89)ng/L have no statistical difference(P>0.05).(3)The concentrations of IL-33 in the paroxysmal atrial fibrillation group,atrial fibrillation group,control group were(48.31±4.72)(50.03±2.18),(56.87±5.12)ng/L There have no statistical difference(F=2.52,P>0.05)among each above groups.(4)NLR level was positively correlated with LAD(r=0.32,P=0.002).There was no significant correlation between IL-1beta,IL-33 and LAD(r=0.16,0.02;P=0.11,0.37).Conclusion:The levels of IL-1beta and NLR in patients with atrial fibrillation were significantly higher than those patients with sinus rhythm.There was a positive correlation between NLR and LAD.IL-1beta andIL-33 have no statistical difference among these groups.
