Sleeping is a kind of natural sleep state which is prevalent in the living body.To human,sleep occupies one third of the time,which is one of the most important factors affecting the quality of life.Snoring(medical term for it is snore symptom or obstructive sleep apnea syn-drome)is a very common phenomenon of sleep.But most people do not agree that the snor-ing is a kind of disease.Even some people think that snoring means a good quality of sleep performance.However,snoring is a key factor on sleep,because snoring may cause multiple apneas,which will lead to continuous blood and brain hypoxia,and further induced hyperten-sion,arrhythmia and other chronic diseases.Current medical researchers believe that the up-per airway collapse is an important reason for the occurrence of snoring.The most direct dif-ference on morphological structure of upper respiratory tract between severe snoring patients and normal people is characterized by its soft palate,tongue and other tissue around the air-way hyperplasia hypertrophy,bloated and narrow airway,and low airway tissue wall compli-ance.Currently,snoring is monitor by polysomnography(PSG),and the treatment of snoring is traditional operation or the snore-ceasing equipment with the principle of electric.The daily prevention method of snoring is also limited to the attention to lifestyle habits,or to simplely take lateral sleeping position.However,based on the sound source localization technique,the head posture of snoring can be identified in real time,and then the sleeping posture when human are snoring can be detected in real time,which will establish the basis for the fol-low-up research.In this research,the head position recognition based on snoring sound source localization is mainly discussed.The application of sound source localization in snoring detection is mainly studied.Based on the microphone array,the snoring acquisition and positioning sys-tem is developed,which has the following functions:1.Modeled and simulate the indoor reverberation.According to the general establishment of the snoring sleep environment,stimulate sound reflection and obstruction,through the simulation to observe the sound transmission.2.The sound source localization algorithm research and simulate.Research the acoustic characteristic of snoring.The existing snoring signal is added to the noise and the reverbera-tion to form the simulation signal.According to the near-field model of the sound source lo-calization,the simulated signal is positioned simulation by the time delay estimation algo-rithm.3.Microphone circuit design,chip selection and circuit simulation,PCB circuit design and production.Using DLL dynamic link library,connecting the microphone circuit and data ac-quisition card,the acquisition system is composited.And the systems process the signal and estimate the head posture of snoring.5.Summarize the work of research and conclusions,point out the problems and propose feasible solutions and achievable goals.
