| “Shichangpu” is the dried rhizoma of Acorus tatarinowii Schott,which is a perennial herb of Acorus genus from the Araceae family.Acorus tatarinowii Schott mainly distributed to the areas of the south of the Yangtze River,such as Zhejiang,Sichuan,Yunnan,Guangdong,Guangxi province.The plant grows widely along rivers,lakes and swamps.Traditional Chinese medical science holds that the nature is warm and the flavor is pungent and bitter.It has been used in the system of Chinese medicine for the treatment of coma and epilepsy;insomnia and forgetfulness;tinnitus and deafness;appetite loss and diarrhea.With the development of technology,the research of pharmacological activity of Acorus tatarinowii Schott is steadily increasing,whereas it mainly focused on the essential oils.However,the extract removed of volatile oil has been proofed to possess pharmacological activity as well.Our group has already investigated the chemical constituents of the petroleum ether,chloroform and ethyl acetate fractions.Since we use the decoction and alcohol extract in clinic,it’s necessary for us to figure out the chemical constituents of n-butanol fraction.We choose to study the chemical constituents of n-butanol fraction of Acorus tatarinowii Schott for the aim of completing the research of it in our group and providing evidence for the study of pharmacological mechanism as well as the establishment of quality standard.D101,ODS,silica gel,LH-20 column chromatography and semi-preparative HPLC were used to isolate and purify the chemical constituents of the n-butanol fraction portioned from the ethanol extract of Acorus tatarinowii Schott.21 compounds have been obtained,in which 19 compounds have been identified by spectral analysis,such as NMR,MS.The 19 compounds are made up of 8 alkaloids,4 phenylpropanoid derivatives,3 furans,2pyrones,1 organic acid ester and 1 diterpene glucoside.Compounds 5 and 11 are new compounds,9 compounds were obtained from the genus for the first time. |
