Objective:To investigate the relationship between types of febrile seizure, epilepsy, seizures between interval SPECT molecular imaging,long-term EEG change, frequency of seizures and Hippocampal sclerosis, for providing a new basis for clinical treatment. Methods:collected 51 cases who has febrile seizures history that were first time hospitalized in Epilepsy Center of the second hospital of Lanzhou University. All patients were clinically diagnosed as epilepsy(have a history of febrile seizures);all of them have long-term EEG monitoring(8 or 12 hours).evaluation of interictal SPECT,3.0T head MRI-MRS examination(without imaging abnormalities, such as white matter malacia, etc.),when they had got the first treatment in our hospital.Results:34 males and 17 females, aged 2-49 years(mean age 16.3 years). The longest duration of 39 years, the shortest was one month(mean duration of 8.2 years).seizure types:GTCS were 21 cases,2 cases of persistent aura, some secondary GTCS were 4 cases, multiple seizure types(? 2 colors)were 24 cases;51 cases in 27 cases(53%)of 3.0MRI-MRS prompt HS,in which 7 cases that NAA/Cho + Cr were reduced.Hippocampal volume or signal abnormalities were 20 cases,no HS were 24 patients(47%);27 cases of HS,duration ? 3 years 21 cases, disease duration<3 years and 6 cases,no hippocampal sclerosis were 24 cases, duration ? 3 years was 19 cases, disease duration less than 3 years were 3 patients(p>0.05),revealing the person with epilepsy who has a history of FC,that duration not lead to hippocampal sclerosis factors;27 cases of hippocampal sclerosis,EEG abnormalities in 21 cases,6 cases of normal;24 cases of non-HS,the EEG abnormalities in 15 cases,9 cases of normal(p>0.05),revealing the person with epilepsy who has a history of FC,there are no significant difference between who has HS and who does not have,EEG abnormal discharge does not prompt HS;27 cases of HS,interictal SPECT molecular imaging abnormalities in 24 cases, the normal three cases:high perfusion in 8 cases,16 cases of low perfusion(Temporal lobe in 17 cases,7 cases of non-temporal lobe);24 cases without HS who,SPECT abnormalities in 12 cases,3 cases of high perfusion,9 case of low perfusion(temporal lobe in 7 cases,5 cases of non-temporal lobe);Normal in 12 cases(p<0.05);there was statistically significant;revealing SPECT abnormalities can suggestive the trend of HS,we can take measures in the early course to prevent the formation of HS;in 51 patients, miscellaneous type of FC 22 cases, including HS 13 cases,11 cases without HS,simply type of FC 29 cases, including 14 cases of HS,no person HS15 cases,(p>0.05)there was not statistically significant, revealing there was no relation between type of FC and HS,maybe about the onset age of febrile. Conclusions:For the person with epilepsy who has a history of FC,type of Seizures can not judge whether it will appear hippocampal sclerosis later, the key lies in the seizure frequency and duration;the epilepsy duration is not the index to judge whether it will appear hippocampal sclerosis later,The key lies in the early to take regular treatment to control seizures;esinterictal SPECT abnormal changes in molecular imaging can be used as indicators predict hippocampal sclerosis;the type of Febrile seizures and epileptic discharge all can not be the index to predict hippocampal sclerosis.
