Objective:To study the catalpa alcohol protection mechanism of diabetic rats(n,provides the objective of the experiment basis for the traditional Chinese medicine treatment of diabetic cardiomyopathy.Methods:8 weeks of 100 male Wistar rats,were randomly divided into normal group(10)and the experimental group(90).In experimental rats with high fat and sugar feed after 8 weeks,intraperitoneal injection of chain urea with cephalosporins(STZ,15 mg/kg),after 72 h after tail vein blood glucose measurement,fasting plasma glucose or greater tendency for 16.7/L,for the type 2 diabetic rats model success.Will be up to the standard of type 2 diabetes ChengMo 60 rats,random points 5 groups,namely model group,control group,low dose group,middle dose group,high dose group,each group of 12.Normal group and model group by gastric distilled water(5 ml/kg,d),the control group by gastric metformin(90 mg/kg,d),low,medium and high dose group of gastric catalpa alcohol respectively 2.5 mg/kg,d,and 5 mg/kg,d,10 mg/kg,d,12 weeks after the drug lavage,observe the general condition of rats,the measurement of each rat body weight(BW),heart weight(HW)and calculate the cardiac weight index(HWI),Detect rats fasting blood glucose(FBG),serum Ang? levels,by ultrasonic testing in the rat cardiac diastolic function(E/A,E/E',IVRT),Application SPSS17.0 statistical software for statistical analysis.Results:1.Compared with normal group,model group rats BW and cardiac function in E/A value were significantly lower(p<0.05),HWI,FBG,Ang?content in serum and cardiac function in E/E ',IVRT values were significantly increased(p<0.05).2.Compared with model group,catalpa alcohol group rats HWI,FBG,Ang? content in serum and cardiac function in E/E ',IVRT values were significantly lower(p<0.05),BW and cardiac function of E/A value were increased(p<0.05)?3.Compared with control group,high dose group of rats increased FBG,E/A value decreased,there was no significant difference(p>0.05),HWI,Ang? content in serum and cardiac function in E/E ',IVRT are lower,there were significant differences(p<0.05);In higher dose group of FBG in rats(p<0.05),serum Ang? HWI,content,E/E 'heart function,IVRT value,there was no significant difference(p>0.05);Low dose group of rat cardiac function E/A value is reduced,HWI,FBG,Ang? content in serum and cardiac function in E/E ',IVRT value are higher,there is significant difference(p<0.05).Conclusion:1.The catalpa alcohol can reduce diabetic rats fasting glucose.2.The catalpa alcohol can reduce diabetic rats serum Ang? levels.3.Catalpa alcohol can raise diabetic cardiomyopathy rats E/A value,reduce the E/E ',IVRT value,its mechanism may be related to catalpa alcohol reduce rat serum Ang? content.
