Objective:To compare the biomechanical properties of AO2.1 type intertrochanteric fractures treated with DHS(dynamic hip screw)and PFNA(proximal femoral anti-rotation nail)internal fixation Methods:Using finite element analysis, the normal femur,DHS fixed fracture model, and PFNA fixed fracture model were established by computer software. To simulate femoral weight while the normal human walking on one leg.we compared femoral biomechanical effects of the two internal fixation modalities with femoral stress analysis, internal and external femoral stress, femoral head displacement, and the stress and displacement of the internal fixation itself Results:In the PFNA group, the medial and lateral femoral stress as well as the displacement of the femoral head were all smaller than in the DHS group, and the stress and displacement of the internal fixation itself was also smaller than that of the DHSgroup. The PFNA group is biomechanically closer to the biomechanical structure of the normal femur than the DHS group. Conclusion:PFNA has biomechanical advantages over DHS in the treatment of this type of fracture.
