Objective:To evaluate the effects of Oxcarbazepine,Lamotrigine, and Levetiracetam on bone mineral density and bone metabolism in children with epilepsy, and provide guidance for the rational use of drugs and improving the quality of life of childre n.Methods:From october,2015 to January,2017,outpatient department and inpatient dep artment of neurology department our hospital were selected for the newly diagnos ed children with epilepsy and epilepsy syndrome who had not taken any antiepile ptic drugs in the past, and the age is between 4 and 12 years old.Experimental group :A total of 43 cases were treated with OXC,LTG and LEV,depending on their age and onset.Control group: 26 patients with epilepsy who did not take an y antiepileptic drugs. We were able to get a blood sample in the early morning o f the morning and 12 months after the drug and 12 months after the drug,to me asure serum calcium(Ca),serum phosphorus(Pi),25-hydroxyl(25-(OH)VD),vitamin D,parathyroid hormone(PTH),osteocalcin(OC),serum alkaline phospha tase(ALP)and to measure bone density in the children's health clinic(BMD).Results:1? Compared with the control group, there was no significant difference i n bone metabolic indexes before treatment;2? There was no significant difference in the indicators of Ca,Pi,25-(O H)VD,PTH,OC,ALP and BMD in the OXC group before and3,6,12 months after treatment, and combined with clinical practice,OXC single drug therapy for epilepsy for 1 year had no significant effect on bone metabolism;3? There was no significant difference in the indicators of Ca,Pi,25-(O H)VD,PTH,OC,ALP and BMD in the LEV group before and 3,6,12 months after treatment, and combined with clinical practice,LEV single drug therapy for epilepsy for 1 year had no significant effect o n bone metabolism;4? There was no significant difference in the indicators of Ca,Pi,25-(O H)VD,PTH,OC,ALP and BMD in the LTG group before and 3,6,12 months after treatment, and combined with clinical practice,LTG single drug therapy for epilepsy for 1 year had no significant effect o n bone metabolism. Conclusion:A 12-month follow-up observational study on the seizures in my hospital has shown that the normal measures of OXC,LTG and LEV have no significant im pact on the bone metabolism and bone density. But since the children with epilep sy need long-term oral antiepileptic,we need extend monitoring time and expand the sample size.In clinical work,we should monitor the bone metabolism indexes, and provide the guidance of the correct way of life and movement, and provide calcium?vitamin D necessarily. When we find the effect,we should take timely t reatment or adjust antiepileptic drugs.
