Clinical Observation On The Treatment Of Chronic Skin Ulcer In Elderly Patients With Pi Nian San

Objectives: Comparing the effectiveness of Pi Nian San and rb-b FGF by obversing the two medicines used in the elder who has chronic skin ulcer,it will provide data support and medication guidance for clinical treatment of chronic skin ulcer.Methods:The 72 patients who involved into the inclusion criteria were randomly assigned into two groups including the treatment group(n=36)which was treated with external application of Pi Nian San,and the control group(n=36)which was treated with external application of rb-b FGF,both of them has been given the local dressing change,once a day.Recording the ratings of ulcer area,color,secretion,granulation tissue,and the condition of ulcer area size in the first day when the patients were cured,and the every other week until the 4thweek after treatment.Also,we had recorded the results of treatment group's secretion culture before and after treatment.Results:(1)At the end of treatment,comparing the efficacy of wound signs in this two group,we got that the total effective rate of the treatment group was 90.91%,and the control group was 75%,finding that the group of treatment was better than the control one(p<0.05).(2)Comparing the efficacy of ulcer surface area's healing rate in this two groups,we saw that the total effective rate of the treatment group was81.82%,and the control group was 65.63%,we found that the group of treatment was better than the control one(p<0.05).Comparing the healing time of wound in this two groups,we got that the group of treatment was22.78±1.72 days,and the group of control was 25.50±1.29 days,finding that the group of treatment was better than the control one(p<0.05).(3)Comparison between this two groups,we found that the group of treatment is better than the control one(p<0.05)after treatment for 2nd,3rd,and 4th weeks.The improvement of the symptoms of ulcer healing in the treatment group was better than the control one(p<0.05).Comparison in each group,after 1st,2ed,3rdand 4thweeks of treatment in each group,we found that the symptoms of ulcer healing were improved in each group.(4)Comparing the positive rate of bacterial culture before and after the treatment,there are 24 cases before the treatment(72.73%)while 5 cases after the treatment(15.15%),19 cases were decreased(79.17%),there is a remarkably different between pretherapy and post-treatment,founding the post-treatment is better than pretherapy(p<0.05).Conclusions:(1)The effect of Pi Niansan for external use on the elderly patients who has chronic skin ulcer is exact,we found that the efficacy of wound healing and sign scores are both excel than rb-b FGF,and there has no adverse actions,it worthy to promotion in clinical.(2)Preliminary found that Pi Niansan can improve the bacterial infection of chronic skin ulcers of the elder patients.
