| Objective:To prepare high radiochemical-purity inflammatory imaging agent 99mTc-HYNIC-PEG-cFLFLF(99mTc-cFLFLF),evaluate the safety of 99mTc-cFLFLF in patients and assess the value of 99mTc-cFLFLF scintigraphy in patients with localized infections.Methods:1.Preparation of 99mTc-cFLFLF and determination of its radiochemical purity;2.99mTc-cFLFLF was intravenously injected at188-555MBq into 1 normal subject,10 patients with various suspected localized infections and 6 patients with suspected bone metastases;3.Whole-body imaging was performed directly after injection and at 1 and 4hour after injection,tomography was performed at suspicious lesion;4.Patients were monitored for side effects for 4h.Results:99mTc-cFLFLF scintigraphy was performed for 17patients?10women and 7 men?with a mean age of 52 year?range,31–72 y?.1 case of normal subjects,2 cases of soft tissue inflammation,2 cases of postoperative reactions,1 case of pneumonia,1 case of vertebral infection,3 cases of arthritis,1 case of osteomyelitis,1 case of plasmacytoma,4 cases of metastatic bone tumor and 1 case of hypophosphatemic osteomalacia.99mTc-cFLFLF can be uptaken in inflammatory lesions,large vessels,heart,liver and kidney.There were 1 false positive result in patient with vertebral infection and 1 false negative result in patient with plasmacytoma.Conclusion:Injection of 99mTc-cFLFLF is accompanied with no side effects in patients.99mTc-cFLFLF/SPECT is a promising new tool for the detection of inflammation in patients as early as 1 h after injection. |
