Objective: To evaluate the factors affecting the severity of NEC(neonatal necrotizing enterocolitis). Methods: The factors affecting the severity of NEC were investigated by using a retrospectivre study. The Clinical data of patients with Bell's stage NEC ? ? during January 2010 and May 2016 were collected, then univariate and logistic regression analysis were employed to analyses the data and found the risk factors related to the severity of NEC.Results: A total of 197 neonates with Bell's staged ? ? NEC were enrolled. The univariate analys is and binary logical regression analys is show that shock(OR: 10.540,95%CI: 2.530,43.912,p < 0.05),thrombocytopenia(OR: 8.330,95%CI: 1.614,42.993,p < 0.05),CRP > 8 mg/L(OR: 5.144,95%CI: 1.760,15.035,p < 0.05),gastrointestinal decompression(OR: 16.599,95%CI: 1.830,150.548,p < 0.05)were independent risk factors of NEC's severity. Conclusion: We found that shock, thrombocytopenia, gastrointestinal decompression and CRP > 8 mg/L before NEC diagnosed indicate increasing of NEC' severity. In the neonatal period,we should monitor the level of CRP and platelet,as well as reduce the occurrence of shock and the use of gastrointestinal decompression,to control the severity of the NEC cases and improve the prognosis.
