The Diagnosis And Treatment Of Prosthetic Joint Infection

With the widespread use of implants in joint replacement surgery,the problem of prosthetic joint infection is becoming more pronounced.As the most serious complication after joint replacement surgery,it has a unique pathogenesis – biofilm.The implant is a foreign body for body,and the presence of biofilm also caused difficult to identification and treatment of the biofilm bacteria.The diagnosis and treatment of prosthetic joint infection is still a great challenge to all clinician at present.Based on the recent evidence,the aim of this article is to review the definition,occurrence mechanism,assessment of risk factors,diagnosis and treatment of prosthetic joint infection.
