Coblation Treatment Of Severe Central Airway Stenosis:Two Cases Report And Related Literature Review

Objectives: To analyze the therapeutic effect of coblation in severe central airway stenosis.And moreover,the indications,advantages,limitations and the application value of this treatment would be discussed.Methods:To respectively analyze the clinical information of two patients with severe central airway stenosis who had been hospitalized in the Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University from May 2016 to January 2017.Two cases involved the use of coblation to address airway stenosis.Results: The treatment process of the two patients was smooth and no serious complications occurred.After a regular review by bronchoscope,a small amount of granulation tissue hyperplasia was observed.No obvious stenosis was observed.Two cases kept the lumen patency for a longer time.And their clinical symptoms and quality of life were improved.Conclusion:Coblation is an effective surgical method for the treatment of central airway stenosis.Its indications include all types of exophytic intraluminal malignant or benign tumours and granulation tissue.It has the advantages of high safety,low recurrence rate,and less bleeding.It is worth promoting.
