Objective: Aim to explore the expression and clinical significance of activating transcription factor 4(ATF4)and ribosomal protein L41(RPL41)in endometriosis-associated ovarian carcinoma(EAOC).Methods:Immunohistochemistry staining(SP)is used to explore the expression of ATF4 and RPL41 in the level of protein,in 40 cases of normal ovarian tissues、20 cases of ovarian endometriosis tissues and 18 cases of endometriosis-associated ovarian carcinoma tissues, with their clinicopathologic characteristics. The SPSS 22.0 software was used for statistical analysis. Results:The positive expression rates of ATF4 in normal ovarian tissues 、 ovarian endometriosis tissues and endometriosis-associated ovarian carcinoma tissues were separately 30%(6/20)、42.5%(17/40)and 77.8%(14/18),which have a statistical difference in each group. In endometriosis-associated ovarian carcinoma, the expression of ATF4 has a negative correlation with the histopathologic type and histological grade(P>0.05).The positive expression rates of RPL41 in normal ovarian tissues、ovarian endometriosis tissues and endometriosis-associated ovarian carcinoma tissues were separately 85%(17/20)、70%(28/40)and 38.9%(7/18),which have a statistical difference in each group. In endometriosis-associated ovarian carcinoma, the expression of RPL41 has a negative correlation with the histopathologic type and histological grade(P>0.05).The expression of ATF4 and RPL41 exists a obvious negative correlation in endometriosis-associated ovarian carcinoma,(r=-0.635)Conclusions:The increasd expression of ATF4 and the decreased expression of RPL41 may play a significant role in the carcinogenesis of endometriosis-associated ovarian carcinoma. It could be a new direction to study the mechanisms of endometriosis-associated ovarian carcinoma.
