Analysis Of Risk Factors For Poststroke Early-onset Seizures And The Impact Of Acute Treatment On The Morbidity Of It

Objective: This article is aimed to explore the impact factors of post-stroke early-onset seizures and the effect on the incidence of seizures of treatment in acute phase.Methods: In this study,patients admitted to the Department of Neurology at The First Hospital of China Medical University between September 2014 and February 2017.Patients with a first-ever ischemic stroke and without a history of epilepsy before stroke were selected.We included the patients and collected their clinical information through the case date and telephone interviews.Logistic regression was used to assess the impact factors of post-stroke early-onset seizures and the effect of seizures of treatment in acute phase.Results: A total of 1,224 patients were finally included in the study and 28(2.3%)of them had post-stroke early-onset seizures.1.The single factor analysis showed that there was a significant difference between the two groups in TOAST classification,NIHSS score,lesion involvement in cortex,antiplatelet drugs,statins and antihypertensive drugs in acute phase(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the gender,whether hypertension,diabetes,atrial fibrillation,smoking,drinking,transformation hemorrhage of the lesion,whether the use of hypoglycemic drugs,anticoagulant drugs and thrombolysis(P>0.05).2.The Logistic multivariate regression analysis showed that it is statistically significant between the two groups whether the use of antiplatelet drugs,statins and antihypertensive drugs in acute phase(P<0.05).Conclusions: 1.Post-stroke early-onset seizures is more likely to occur in the ischemic stroke which involving the cortex.2.The prescription of antiplatelet drugs,statins and antihypertensive drugs in acute phase of ischemic stroke may decrease the incidence of post-stroke early-onset seizures.
