Research purpose:1.Trace the origin and development of eye diseases from the treatment on spleen and stomach.2.Explore the fundamental issue of treating eye diseases from spleen and stomach.3.Apply spleen-stomach treatment of eye diseases to clinical practice.Research technique:Collect and study medical books related to ophthalmology from the Huang di's Canon of Medicine the modern times,review and analyze the etiology and pathogenesis of treating eye diseases from spleen and stomach in different generations.Explore the basic pathogenesis of treating eye disease based on the lifting-function activities of vital energy of spleen and stomach and preliminary verificate it in clinical.Conclusion:1.Throughout historical documents,the spleen-stomach syndrome of eye diseases originated in the Qin and Han dynasty,formed in Sui Tang dynasty,thrived in Yuan Ming dynasty and developed in modern times.2.Treating eye diseases from the spleen and stomach is often dominated by“strengthen the spleen and replenish qi and lift up Qingyang”.Smoothing the lifting-function activities of vital energy of spleen and stomach is of great significance in the treatment of eye diseases.The effect is curative with the theory of treating eye diseases from spleen and stomach to guide clinical and the spleen-stomach treatment of eye diseases is widely used in treating ocular surface disease and fundus oculi disease.3.When treating eye disease with the spleen-stomach treatment,it should be carefully use the drus of a cold and cool nature to protect the stomach Qi;use wind-relieving medicinal skillfully;and pay attention to the effect of western medicine to spleen and stomach.
