The Effect Of Anxiety And Depression And Life Events On Non Erosive Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease

Objective: Using the self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)and self-rating Depression Scale(SDS)and Life Event Scale(LES)score for evaluation of Non-erosive reflux disease(NERD)group and healthygroup's anxiety and depression and life events.Using gastroesophageal reflux disease questionnaire(GerdQ)score to evaluate the severity of regurgitation in NERD group and healthy control group.To analyze whether anxiety,depression and life events were the factors affecting NERD and analyze whether anxiety,depression,and life events are related to the severity of NERD symptoms.Methods: With strict inclusion and exclusion criteria,From November 2016 to December 2017,135 patients with NERD admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Shihezi University medical collage were selected as NERD group.133 healthy people in the outpatient and physical examination center were selected as healthy control group.The Self-Evaluation Questionnaire was used to complete the SAS score,SDS score,LES score and GerdQ score by NERD group and control group.The Mann-Whitney rank sum test analysis was used to analyze the influence factors of NERD.When P<0.05,the difference was statistically significant.Spearman rank correlation test was used to analyze the relationship between GERDQ score and anxiety score,depression score and life events score.When P < 0.05,the difference was statistically significant.Results: NERD group,a total of 135 people,at the age of 19-79 years old,healthy control group,a total of133 people,at the age of 18-78,the gender difference was not statistically significant between two grpoups(2=0.009,P=0.925).The anxiety rate of NERD group was significantly higher than that of the healthy control group(2=74.383,P<0.001).The depression ratio of NERD is significantly higher than the healthy control group(2=17.882,P <0.001).The NERD group and the healthy control group has statistically significant difference in BMI index(z=-2.977,P=0.003)and SAS scores(z=-11.031,P < 0.001)and SDS scores(z=-11.031,P < 0.001).There were significant differences in LES scores between NERD group and healthy control group(z=-2.179,P=0.029),especially in negative life events(z=-2.187,P=0.029).GerdQ score was positively correlated with SAS score(r=0.649,P<0.001),positively correlated with SDS score(r=0.597,P<0.001),and positively correlated with LES score(r=0.286,P=0.042).There was a positive correlation between GerdQ score and negative life events(r=0.291,P=0.038).Conclusion: 1.Anxiety,depression and life events are the influencing factors of NERD.2.As the degree of anxiety,depression and life events(especially negative life events)increased,the symptoms of NERD were aggravated.
