Objective:To analyze the clinical features of severe brain injury in infants and children,and to discuss the treatment of severe brain injury in infants and young children.Methods : Retrospective analysis of clinical data of severe craniocerebral injury(GCS score between 3 and 8)in our hospital from December 2009 to December 2015.Results :This group of a total of 88 cases,56 males and 32 females.Age 15 days to 3 years old.There were 36 cases with high injuries,accounting for 40.9%,25 cases with car accidents,accounting for 28.4%,15 cases with fall injuries,accounting for 17.1%,and 12 cases with 13.6%.There were 88 patients with disturbance of consciousness,21 seizures,27 anaemia appearances,17 skin bruises,and 10 conjunctival hemorrhages.41 cases were treated with surgery and 47 cases were treated non-surgically.Eighty-eight children recovered well in 63 cases,13 cases were lightly disabled,5 cases were severely disabled,2 cases survived in plants,and 5cases died.Conclusion:1.The main injury mechanism of severe craniocerebralinjury in infants is high falling injury,car accident and falling injury.2.Severe brain injury in infants and young children with severe disturbance of consciousness,anemia shock more common.3.Traumatic subdural effusions and isolated fractures are more common in infants and young children with severe traumatic brain injury.Follow-up growth fractures are more common.4.Traumatic subdural effusion is common after severe traumatic brain injury in infants,and more common follow-up growth fractures.5.The prognosis of severe craniocerebral injury in infants is better.
