ObjectiveThe study was to choose a variety of social demographic factors associated with patient-linked.The method of statistic analysis of Cross-Sectional study was adopted to explore the relation in delaying diagnosis and treatment of patients with head and neck cancer, laying the foundation of increasing the rate of clinical diagnosis and treatment of patients with early malignant tumor.MethodMethod in this article was based on hospital Cross-Sectional study, the sample of study was the patients diagnosed in the otorhinolaryngology department in the second affiliated hospital of Chongqing Medical University from January 2016 to December 2017 whose pathology confirmed with malignant tumor(mental disorders not include). After obtaining informed consent of patients,we got the data visa questionnaire survey.SPSS20 Statistical Software was used for data input. And the datawas presented by frequency distribution and mean value methods. We analyzed the possible correlation of data with and Logistic Regression.P value <0.05 was considered to be statistically significant.Results1.A total of 96 patients who were diagnosed with head and neck cancer finished the questionnaire and was confirmation sample, with 65 males and 31 females, ranging from 29 to 83 years old,the average age was50.2±16.4 years old,the average degree of education was 7.5±5.25 years.2.The Study shows that there are differences in the types of tumors in different genders. The morbidity of laryngeal cancer was the highest in men, followed by carcinoma of nasopharyngeal. The incidence of nasopharyngeal carcinoma in female patients was the highest.3.In this study, the patients diagnosed with malignant tumors at stage III and above accounted for 46.9%.The chi square test shows that the social demographic variables which affect the degree of malignant tumor are mainly the patient's degree of education, the per-capita income of a family, the time interval patients go to primary health care the the first time from emerging symptom, the residence distance to the superior hospital and the gap to the superior hospital the first time from primary health care institutions, they have statistically significant difference(P < 0.05).Social population variables, such as age, gender,,and medical expense ratio of per capita income, were not related to the degree of malignant tumor.4.At the same time,Logistic regression analysis shows that the longer the patient's education may be a favorable factor in the early diagnosis of head and neck cancer, while the residence distance to the superior hospital, the gap to the superior hospital the first time from primary health care institutions may be the risk factor for the delayed diagnosis of the patient, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion1.The incidence of head and neck cancer in otolaryngology is higher. In this study, the patients diagnosed with malignant tumors at stage III and above accounted for 46.9%,and the incidence of different types of tumor in different sexes is different.2.The patient-related factors which influence early diagnosis and treatment of patients are the patients' degree of education, family per-capita income, the time interval patients go to primary health care the the first time from emerging symptom, the residence distance to the superior hospital and the gap to the superior hospital the first time from primary health care institutions.3.This study showed that the independent risk factors related to the early diagnosis of head and neck cancer were mainly due to the patient's degree of education, the residence distance to the superior hospital and the gap to the superior hospital the first time from primary health care institutions.Considering current research achievements,we need tostrengthen all aspects of medical staff professional skills in primary health care, governments should propaganda medical knowledge comprehensively and enlighten people cognitive degree of tumor, encourage patients to see a doctor in time if they are unwell, examine their body regularly, improve the basic health care system for low-income people in order to cure at the first stage.
