Purpose: To assess the efficacy and safety of cytoreductive surgery plus hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy for patients of gastric cancer with peritoneal carcinomatosis by Meta-analysis.Methods: We had searched Pubmed,Embase,Cochrane library,Wanfang,Weipu,China Zhiwang from the inception of databases to March2018 with cytoreductive surgery, hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy, gastric cancer,MeSH term plus subheadings. We also searched references of related reviews for supplements at the same time, then screened according to inclusive and exclusive criteria criteria and analyzed with RevMan 5.3.Results: A total of 8 studies of 531 patients of gastric cancer with peritoneal carcinomatosis were included. After statistical analysis by software,we found out that 1-year survival,2-year survival and average survival time after cytoreductive surgery plus hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy for gastric cancer with peritoneal carcinomatosis patientswere significantly prolonged compared with cytoreductive surgery alone(P<0.05).But no significant increase in related complications was observed in the cytoreductive surgery plus hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy group(P>0.05).There was no statistical difference was observed in the three-year survival rate between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions: Cytoreductive surgery plus hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy can extend the survival time and improve the overall survival without significantly increasing complications in patients of gastric cancer with peritoneal metastasis. However, due to the limitations of the included sample size and the quality of included studies, conclusions need to be further verified by well-designed,prospective,high-quality,large-sample,multi-center randomized controlled trials.
