Augmented Reality(AR)is a new computer technology which makes an exact fusion of virtual scenes and real scenes as a supplement and development of the reality.Ulnar and Radial deviation function exercise wield an important role in the wrist joint rehabilitation.The combination of AR technology and wrist joint functional training can be applied on constructing evaluation and training scenes of mixing virtual and actual reality.Furthermore,it uses knowledge reasoning technology to evaluate the effectiveness of training,which is obviously more conducive to the rehabilitation of patients.Researches on evaluation and trainings of wrist ulnar and radial deviation rehabilitation based on AR are the further studies of AR technology,knowledge reasoning and application methods.To some extent,providing modeling ideas for the application of AR technology to multi-therapy and phased treatment of rehabilitation medicine and also providing a solution for multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research.Therefore,the work of this thesis has an important theoretical significance and application value.Clinically,a completed wrist rehabilitation therapy is a process of formulating a suitable training program based on the initial assessment,a comprehensive implementation of the phases and multiple therapies,the feature with evaluation and training in a loop until it reaches the target of rehabilitation.The evaluation of ulnar and radial deviation rehabilitation is evaluated by ROM(Range of Motion,motion of join).The following two cases are considered to be restored to health: when the ROM value reaches the ideal reference range in functional assessment or approaches to the level which does not affect the daily life according to the residual function.At present,the research of AR technology in the field of wrist rehabilitation is limited: in the evaluation strategy,using the scores of game to infer the recovery of patient and lacking of real-time biofeedback and intelligent and efficient evaluation mechanism;in the training method,most of the AR rehabilitation systems based on artificial identification andthere is a clear drift phenomenon of virtual objects in the phase of virtual reality fusion,which leads to the inability to carry out fine training guidance to the joint.For the above problems,the main work in this paper is as follows:(1)Research on the rehabilitation evaluation strategy based on knowledge representation and reasoning.Firstly,the knowledge base for assessment of rehabilitation of ulnar and radial deviation based on production rules is established by analyzing the rehabilitation evaluation index and extracting explicit knowledge such as medical books and implicit knowledge such as expert experience;Secondly,data driven reasoning control strategy is used by inference engine to match evaluation indexes in the patient training period such as ROM mean value with knowledge in knowledge base and then realize the transformation from data to knowledge followed by decision making.Finally,the specific reasoning algorithm and flow are given.(2)Research on the rehabilitation training method is based on AR of wrist ulnar and radial deviation rehabilitation.Based on the long-term investigation of hospital and an in-depth analysis of domestic and foreign literature,a design philosophy of multiple therapies in different stages for AR rehabilitation training is determined.That is,it constructs virtual wrist in kinesiotherapy to drive a real wrist for small angle training in the early stage of rehabilitation;it constructs water-droplet training game scenes in occupational therapy to encourage the patients to carry out a large degree in the middle and later stage of rehabilitation.On the basis of team work,which has completed tracking and registration,the training data for the ulnar and radial deviation in the real scene are obtained through the conversion of the rotation direction and angle of the sensor.At the same time,the mathematical models of virtual scene are established.Finally,the algorithms for the fusion of virtual and reality in AR kinesiotherapy and AR occupational therapy are elaborated respectively.(3)Validation of effectiveness and usability.On the one hand,the healthy,test patients and real patients were selected to evaluate the effectiveness of rehabilitation(including the effectiveness of rehabilitation assessment and the effectiveness of rehabilitation training);On the other hand,a prototype system for Android platform is designed based on the "comfortable,durable,interesting and effective" design principles and developed by myself,and the experiments were carried out in hospital.The usability of wrist ulnar and radial deviation rehabilitation based on AR is further validated from the perspective of prototype usability.The innovative points of this thesis are as follows:(1)A new reasoning method combined with explicit knowledge and tacit knowledge is proposed,which can be used to evaluate the rehabilitation training effect of wrist ulnar and radial deviation intelligently.(2)The corresponding fusion scenes of Virtual(guidance information)and Reality(active data)according to the different demand stage of injury joint is proposed.It is based on AR technology and medical therapy principles and aim to support the design idea of multi-therapy in different rehabilitation stages and the implementation method of AR-based rehabilitation therapy.(3)The effectiveness and usability of the proposed method is validated by clinical experiments and the prototype system is designed according to the engineering thought and method.In addition,it is small and easy to carry.Patients can recover training at anytime and anywhere,reducing the dependence on therapists in rehabilitation and helping to balance the stressful medical resources.The work of the thesis reaches the expected goal.But wrist injury can cause various forms of movement dyskinesia.The rehabilitation training for ulnar and radial deviation is not strictly controlled in a single plane,it means ulnar and radial deviation will be connected with flexion and extension.The next work will be based on the research of AR wrist flexion and extension rehabilitation,through four kinds of sports form comprehensive training to complete the wrist rehabilitation more comprehensively.
