Objective: To detect the expression level of calcium binding protein S100A12 in serum of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)and healthy physical examination, and to analyze the expression level of S100A12 in patients with COPD and the total number of white blood cells(WBC)commonly used in clinical inflammation. The relationship between the percentage of neutrophils(N%),procalcitonin(PCT),and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)further evaluated S100A12,the total number of white blood cells(WBC),and the percentage of neutrophils(The diagnostic value of N%),procalcitonin(PCT),and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)in the acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. To investigate the diagnosis and severity of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease with calcium binding protein S100A12 The assessment value. Methods: A total of 40 patients with acute obstructive pulmonary disease who were admitted to the Department of Respiratory Medicine of People's Hospital of Gansu Province from November 2016 to March 2017 were enrolled.40 patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease who were followed up at the outpatient department of the respiratory department were recruited for the same period of time.Thirty-two patients served as controls. The total number of white blood cells(WBC),percentage of neutrophils(N%),high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP),and drop of blood were measured in patients with COPD acute exacerbation and COPD patients The value of calcium source(PCT)was determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)for the serum calcium binding protein S100A12 level on the day of entry of all subjects.SPSS20.0 software was used to analyze the experimental data.P<0.05 indicated that the difference was statistically significant. Results: 1.The expression of serum calcium-binding protein S100A12 in COPD group was significantly higher than that in healthy control group(P < 0.01).2.The expression of serum calcium-binding protein S100A12 in the acute exacerbation group was significantly higher than that in the chronic obstructive pulmonary stable group(P <0.01).3.The serum level of calcium-binding protein S100A12 was positively correlated with WBC,percentage ofneutrophils(N%),hs-CRP and PCT in the acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(r=0.846 P<0.01,r=0.693 P<0.01).(r=0.796 P<0.01,r=0.751 P<0.01).4.There was no correlation between serum calcium binding protein S100A12 expression and WBC,N%,hs-CRP,PCT in chronic obstructive pulmonary stable group(r=0.25 P=0.11,r=-0.34 P=0.83,r=-0.08 P = 0.96,r = 0.13 P = 0.42).5.ROC curve analysis results showed that the calcium binding protein S100A12 in the AECOPD group was equal to the total number of white blood cells(WBC),the percentage of neutrophils(N%),high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP),procalcitonin(PCT)The area under the curve was(0.864,0.808,0.777,0.800,0.843,P <0.01).Conclusion: 1.The expression of calcium binding protein S100A12 was significantly different between the chronic obstructive pulmonary stable group, chronic obstructive pulmonary acute exacerbation group, and non-obstructive lung disease group(P<0.01).Therefore,it can be used as a diagnostic and severity assessment of COPD patients.2.The expression level of calcium binding protein S100A12 was not correlated with WBC,(N%),hs-CRP,PCT in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and was associated with WBC,(N%),hs-CRP,PCT in patients with acute exacerbation.Positive correlation,it can be used as an assessment index of the severity of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.3.The AUC value of calcium binding protein S100A12 in the AECOPD group was higher than WBC,the percentage of neutrophils(N%),hs-CRP,PCT,indicating that S100A12 has a higher diagnostic value for patients with acute obstructive pulmonary disease.
