Objective:The study for patients with total hysterectomy is whether using modified method to sew up vaginal cuff can reduce the incidence of vaginal fornix prolapse or delay the occurrence of vaginal fornix prolapse or reduce the degree of vaginal fornix prolapse in order to improve the of patients' life quality after the total hysterectomy.Method:The selected subjects are the patients with transabdominal or laparoscopic total hysterectomy who has been treated in China Medical University Affiliated Shengjing Hospital from May,2012 to July,2013,including 60 patients by using the modified suture method and 60 patients by using the traditional suture method. After three years of the total hysterectomy, there are follow-up clinics of each 3 months, including filling out survey form, accepting gynecological examination, and investigating the arisen circumstances of vaginal fornix prolapse, such as the appearance of vaginal fornix prolapse and the associated symptoms, the inducement, the time, and the incidence of vaginal fornix prolapse appearance and the degree of vaginal fornix prolapse. To study whether the modified suture method can better improve the vaginal fornix prolapse after the total hysterectomy.Result: After three years of the total hysterectomy, the prolapse rate of the modified suture group is 3.33%(2 cases of POP?),and the prolapse rate of the traditional suture group is 13.33%(4 cases of POP?(6.67%),3 cases of POP?(5%),and 1 case of POP?(1.67%)).There is a statistical significance on the difference of the vaginal fornix prolapse rate between these two groups,P<0.05.Conclusion: In the modified suture group, the morbidity of vaginal fornix prolapse is lower than that in the traditional suture group.Compared with traditional suture method, modified suture method is an effective suture method that can reduce the incidence of vaginal fornix prolapse after the total hysterectomy. |
