Objective: The method of resting state functional magnetic resonance imaging(functional connectivity,FC)was used to scan the amygdala as the seed point of the region of interest, and to compare the adolescent bipolar disorder(ABD)and the healthy persons(adolescent healthy control,AHC)to compare the ABD and the amygdala.Aiming to find the relationship between the impairment of ABD brain function and cognition level of the Wisconsin card sorting test(WCST),through exploring the relationship between the two groups of FC and the WCST factor of cognitive tests. Methods: Resting state magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)was performed in 22 ABD patients and 32 AHC patients.Demographic data of 2 groups and two groups of WCST five factor values were analyzed by SPSS22.0 statistical software. On the Matlab platform,DPABI software package is applied to preprocess the image data. Then two groups of functional connected images are sampled by two sample T test to get the difference brain regions. The differences in the value of brain and WCST factors in the two groups were compared. Then the FC values of ABD in two different brain regions were extracted and correlated with WCST factor values in ABD group. Results: 1.ABD patients decreased significantly in the FC of the bilateral orbital frontal gyrus?bilateral trigonometric lateral frontal gyrus?the left triangle gyrus frontal gyrus.2.There was no statistical difference in the T test between the ABD group and the AHC group of WCST.3.The FC values of ABD in the 3 and two groups were not related to the WCST factor in ABD group. Conclusion: 1.ABD patients have impairment of brain function in the bilateral orbital frontal gyrus, bilateral trigonometric lateral frontal gyrus, the left triangle gyrus frontal gyrus.2.There was no significant difference between ABD and AHC in WCST.The FC value of ABD in the two groups was not related to the value of WCST factor in group ABD,indicating that the impairment of cognitive function in ABD patients was not obvious.3.ABD patients have brain function impairment in the amygdala and prefrontal lobes, but do not affect the cognitive function of ABD.
