Objectives This study aimed to explore the influence factors of mental fatigue in patients with cerebral apoplexy, and to provide theoretical basis for the development of individual intervention and prevention for clinical nursing. Methods A total of 358 patients with cerebral apoplexy from Tangshan Gong Ren Hospital were recruited from October 2016 to May 2017 by dopting a hospital-based nonmatching case-control study,of these,175 subjects with mental fatigue(MFS?10.5)were cases group,183 individuals were deemed as referents(MFS<10.5),Patients with cerebral apoplexy were investigated with simple mental state examination scale, anxiety selfassessment scale, depression self rating scale,Barthel, family care index scale, social support rating scale, and the self-designed social demographic data.Epidata3.1 software was applied to establish database, and SPSS22.0 software was used to analyze the data,single-factor and multi-factors were analyzed by logistic regression analysis. Results 1 Logistic regression analysis of single factor showed that economic status, personality, whether taking regular exercise or not before the onset, stroke property, family history of stroke, motor dysfunction, swallowing dysfunction, cognitive dysfunction,anxiety,depression,self-care ability, food intake, average length of hospital stay, average bed rest time per day, average infusion time per day,bed number in the ward, family function and social function may be the predominant risk factors of mental fatigue in patients with cerebral apoplexy.2 Multivariate analysis of mental fatigue in stroke patients showed that personality, family history of stroke, swallowing dysfunction, cognitive dysfunction, average bed rest time per day, family function, social function and anxiety were the influencing factors for mental fatigue in patients with cerebral apoplexy,of which, family history of stroke(OR = 2.554),swallowing dysfunction(OR = 4.526),cognitive dysfunction(OR = 3.721),moderate anxiety(OR = 3.912),average bedtime is more than 16 hours a day(OR = 7.038),average bedtime is more than 20 hours a day(OR = 6.198),moderate family dysfunction(OR = 4.584),low level social support(OR=4.507)were the risk factors for mental fatigue in patients with cerebral apoplexy, while outgoing personality(OR = 0.191)was the protective fator for mental fatigue in patients with cerebral apoplexy. Conclusions Our study showed that family history of stroke, swallowing dysfunction, cognitive dysfunction, moderate anxiety, average bedtime is more than 16 hours a day, moderate disabilities family function, low level of social supportwere main risk factors for mental fatigue in stroke patients, outgoing personality is a protective factor for mental fatigue in patients with cerebral apoplexy.
