Abstract/Summary:
This dissertation consists of three chapters.Chapter 1 is a review on the study of chemical constituents and bioactivities of Syzygium samarangense,which was collected in Yunnan Province,China,have been phytochemically studied in chapter 2.In chapter 1,the progresses in the research on chemical constituents and bioactivities of S.samarangense were reviewed.In chapter 2,the phytochemical investigation of the the leaves of S.samarangense was described.S.samarangense,called also “lian wu” and “liang wu”,belonging to the genus Syzygium,which is mainly distributed in Yunnan,Guangdong and some other prefectures in China,It is often used folk medicine for the treatment of diabetes,cough,dysentery,fever etc.The extracts of S.samarangense exhibited great diversity of bioactivities based on the report of literatures.By the means of various chromatography methods such as silica gel,Sephadex LH-20,MCI,and HPLC,45 compounds,including 10 new compounds,were obtained from the MeOH extract of the leaves of S.samarangense.Structural style of these compounds includes triterpenoids,alkylresorcinol derivatives,alkenylresorcinols,phenolic acids,etc.In chapter 3,the phytochemical investigation of the the aerial of Euphorbia thymifolia L was presented.E.thymifolia L,belonging to the genus Euphorbia,which is widely grown in Yunnan,Guangdong,Guangxi,Jiangxi,and tropical and subtropical in the world.It can be applied to treat traumatic injury,malaria,eczema,and hemorrhoid etc.By the means of various chromatography methods,11 compounds were isolated from the ethyl acetate of the 80% acetone extract of E.thymifolia L.The structural types of the isolates cover triterpenoids,ionol derivatives,phenolic acids,etc.,among these isolates,compounds 46-54 were fristly reported from this plant.
