Objective To explore the valgus stability of elbow joint when anterior bundle of ulnar collateral ligament(UCL)in three states of complete,fracture and reconstruction,and to evaluate the effectiveness of Suture anchor combined with bone tunnel technique.Methods 8 fresh adult upper limb cadavers were adopted to establish samples of the bone-ligament of the elbow joint,and the anterior bundle of UCL of each sample was simulated as three states of complete,fracture and reconstruction,then to measure the biomechanical indexes of elbow joint at 0°,30°,60°,90° and 120°,including valgus laxity,contact area and pressure in humeroradial joint;Take the separation of the samples into 3 groups according to the different state of the anterior bundle of UCL:complete group,fracture group,reconstruction group.There are 8 cases in every group.Get the data and make the statistics analysis.Results Compared intra group,0°of elbow flexion,the elbow joint laxity was smaller than the other angles,the contact area in humeroradial joint at was larger than the other angles,and the average pressure in humeroradial joint at was smaller than the other angles,the difference had statistically significant(P < 0.05);Comparison among groups,there was no statistical difference in the biomechanical indexes of each group at 0 °(P>0.05);Comparison among groups,at the other angles except 0°,the elbow joint laxity of the fracture group was bigger than the other groups,the contact area in humeroradial joint of the fracture group was smaller than the other groups,and the average pressure in humeroradial joint of the fracture group was bigger than the other groups,the difference had statistically significant(P<0.05),but there was no statistically difference in the biomechanical indexes between the complete group and the reconstruction group(P>0.05).Conclusion The anterior bundle of UCL is an important structure to maintain the valgus stability of the elbow joint.The elbow joint at the straight position is relatively stable compared with the flexion position.The elbow joint after reconstruction of anterior bundle of UCL used Suture anchor combined with bone tunnel technique not only have sufficient stability,but also have the same excellent biomechanical properties as the normal elbow.
