PART ? The differential diagnosis of ovarian serous cystadenoma and ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma with multimodal magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)Objective To investigate the differential diagnosis value of multimodal MRI in ovarian serous cystadenoma and ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma.Materials Methods 40 cases of patients with ovarian serous cystadenoma(including 1 case for borderline with 2 lesions)and 11 cases of patients with ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma were confirmed operatively and pathologically that were analyzed retrospectively.All patients underwent the multimodal MRI.Results 40 lesions were ovarian serous cystadenoma and 2 lesions were borderline cystadenoma.The other 14 lesions were ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma in 56 lesions among 51 cases.In routine MRI T1 and T2 weighted images that 4 cases were stained glass appearance out of 51 cases.The apparent diffusion coefficient(ADC)of cyst fluid in ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma were lower than that in the ovarian serous cystadenoma by using diffusion-weighted imaging(DWI)that the b values of 100500 and 1000s/mm2.The ADC of cyst fluid in ovarian serous cystadenoma and ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma were respectively(3.03±0.23 2.92±0.202.88±0.21)×10-3mm2/s and(2.71±0.31 2.63±0.27 2.47±0.41)×10-3mm2/s.There is significant difference between results of two groups using T-Test(P<0.05).The dynamic contrast-enhanced scan showed little or no contrast enhancement in the cystadenoma nodules that the TIC curve was type ?.2 borderline cystadenoma nodules were mildly intensified that the time intensity curve(TIC)were type I.14 lesions had marked enhancement in cystadenocarcinoma nodules that the time intensity curve(TIC)was type II.Three dimesional subtraction images were showed slightly high signal in the cystadenoma nodules and high signal in the cystadenocarcinoma nodules.Conclusion Multimodal MRI is valuable in the differential diagnosis of ovarian serous cystadenoma and ovarian serous cystadenocarcinomaand helps to improve the accuracy of diagnosis.PART ? The application value of multimodal magnetic resonance imaging in endometrioma and dysembryoma of ovaryObjective To investigate the application value of multi-modal MRI in endometrioma and dysembryoma of ovary Materials Methods 41 cases of patients with endometrioma of ovary and 54 cases of patients with mature cystic dysembryoma were confirmed operatively and pathologically were analyzed retrospectively.All patients underwent the multimodal MRI.Results 95 eases with 119 lesions were divided into two groups.Group A were patients with endometrioma of the ovary.including 56 lesions.Group B were patients with dysembryoma including 63 lesions.In group A.52 lesions were hyperintensity in T1 weighted image and high or slightly low signals in T2 weighted image.The other 4 lesions showed isointensity in T1 weighted image and hyperintensity in T2 weighted images.DWI is mainly showed high or slightly high signal.The dynamic contrast-enhanced imaging showed no or little enhancement in the cyst wall.The cyst wall show slightly highterin in the three dimensional contrast enhanced subtraction MR images.In group B 52 lesions were typical lard type.8 lesions were less fat type.3 lesions were leanness type.In 52 typical lard type lesions.images showed typical short T1 and long T2 fatty signals and the signal in the fat-suppression sequence decreased significantly.All the hair teeth and calcification showed low signals.Rokitansky protuberance showed high-low mixed signals and the signal in the fat-suppression sequence decreased.The floating ball showed slightly low signals in T1 weighted image and slightly high signals in fat-suppression sequence T2 weighted image.In multi b value of diffusion-weighted imaging that fat showed low signals.Rokitansky protuberance and floating ball showed high and low signal.The dynamic contrast-enhanced imaging showed little-mild enhancement in the cyst wall and Rokitansky protuberance.The time intensity curve(TIC)of Rokitansky protuberance was type ?.Three dimesional subtraction images showed slightly high signal in Rokitansky protuberance.Conclusion Multimodal MRI is valuable in providing more diagnostic information in endometrioma and mature cystic dysembryoma of ovary and helpful to improve the accuracy of diagnosis.
