Objective: To evaluate the cardiac function of children with Pectus excavatum(PE)by Cine-MRI(CMR)and analyze the influencing factors of cardiac function in children with PE.Materials and methods: children from June 2016 to December 2017 were selected to visit our hospital: 24 cases of PE,aged 6-10 years old,including 18 men and 6 women,all were examined by 3D Radial VIBE and CMR.The normal group consisted of 21 patients,aged 6-10 years,including 13 males and 8 females.CMR examination was performed.The left ventricular function of PE children and normal children was compared.At the same time,the effect of thoracic morphology and heart shape on left ventricular function in children with PE was discussed.Results:(1)The cardiac function parameters of group PE were ejection fraction(EF),left ventricular end diastolic volume(LEDVI),cardiac index(CI)were lower than that of the normal group,and the difference was statistically significant(0.001).There was no significant difference in left ventricular endsystolic volume index(LESVI)between normal group and normal group.(2)The Haller index(HI)and cardiac rotation angle(CRA)of the PE children were statistically significant(P < 0.001)on the left cardiac function EF(P < 0.001).The index of thoracic asymmetry index(TAI)and cardiac morphological parameters CRA and cardiac asymmetric index(CAI)had statistical significance to CI(P < 0.001),and TAI was the main factor,and the parameters of thoracic shape and heart shape were not statistically significant.Conclusion:(1)Left ventricular function parameters EF,LEDVI and CI in children with PE were lower than those in normal children,and there was no significant difference in left ventricular function parameters between LESVI and normal children.(2)The left heart function of children with PE is influenced by the shape of the chest and the shape of the heart.The main influence of EF is HI and CRA,while HI is the most important factor;the main influence of LEDVI is the cardiac morphological parameter CRA,and the main factors affecting CI are the thoracic shape parameter TAI and the heart morphological parameters.Indicators CRA and CAI,where TAI is the main factor;LESVI is not affected by thorax morphology and heart shape.
