Objective:This paper aims to comprehend vocational ability and its influencing factors among master of nursing specialist,to establish structural equation modeling among the general self-efficacy,medical education environmental cognition and vocational ability,at the same time,to explore the influence and intensity of general self-efficacy and medical educational environment on vocational ability.Furthermore to improve the cognition of vocational ability on the academic field,then to provide reference for education of vocational ability of MNS.Methods:This study is a descriptive study among non-experimental studies.Based on the investigation of 389 postgraduates of MNS from 31 nursing colleges by questionnaire including General Information Questionnaire;Nursing Postgraduates'Vocational Ability Questionnaire,General Self-Efficacy Scale and Dundee Ready Educational Environment Measure through "Wenjuanxing" platform.Using SPSS 17.0 and AMOS 22.0 to analyze data including descriptive analysis,single factor analysis,multiple linear regression analysis,Person correlation analysis and the analysis of structural equation modeling.Results:(1)The score of vocational ability of MNS was 93.65±11.52,which was in the middle degree.Among five dimensions of vocational ability,learning and planning ability was 27.61±4.09,which was the highest,the following is the ability of accomplishing tasks,which was 21.64±3.25,self-managing ability was 17.49±2.56,professional technical ability was 13.61±2.33 and social communication ability was 13.30±2.63.After standardization,the score of five dimensions of vocational ability from high to low was the ability of accomplishing tasks,self-managing ability,learning and planning ability,professional technical ability and social communication ability.(2)There were 10 differences in vocational ability of MNS(P<0.05).The ten differences were the gender,the parental expectations,the grade,the interest of degree,the student cadre,the achievement,the internship satisfaction,the mentor's titles,the relationship between postgraduate and mentor and the satisfaction for mentor.(3)Multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that there were 8 variables(the satisfaction for mentor,the achievement,the interest of degree,the parental expectations,the relationship between postgraduate and mentor,the gender,the mentor's titles and the grade in vocational ability regression equation model(F=17.608,P<0.01).The percentage of vocational ability which can be explained by the above variables is 26.7%,among which the most important variable was the satisfaction for mentor(8.8%).(4)Pearson analysis revealed that vocational ability of MNS was positively correlated with general self-efficacy,students' perceptions of leaming(SPL),students'perceptions of teachers(SPT),students' perceptions of atmosphere(SPA),students'academic self-perceptions(SASP),students' social self-perceptions(SSSP)and medical educational environment(P<0.01).(5)Structural equation modeling analysis revealed that the pathways included the general self-efficacy to vocational ability(?=0.281,P<0.001).medical educational environment to vocational ability(?=0.400,P<0.001),SASP to vocational ability(?=0.213,P<0.01),medical educational environment to the general self-efficacy(?=0.284,P<0.001).Conclusion:(1)The vocational ability of MNS was slightly above average.Among them,the best ability was the ability of accomplishing tasks and the social communication ability needed to be strengthened most.(2)The influencing factors of vocational ability of MNS were the satisfaction for mentor,the achievement,the interest of degree,the parental expectations,the relationship between postgraduate and mentor,the gender,the mentor's titles and the grade.(3)General self-efficacy and SPSA could directly influence vocational ability.medical educational environment could directly or indirectly affect the vocational ability through general self-efficacy.
