Background and ObjectiveBackground Obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea Syndrome(OSAHS)is highly relevant to patients with hypertension(HTN).These 2 conditions frequently coexist(an estimated 50%of patients with concomitant OSAHS have Hypertension, while around one third of hypertensive patients have concurrent OSAHS[1].Research has shown cross-talks between OSA and hypertension, and this relationship is independent of hypertension.concurrent demographic variables such as age and body mass index(BMI)[2].OSAHS is a higher risk of hypertension.Obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea Syndrome related hypertension means that OSAHS causes hypertension.OSAHS related hypertension is an independent risk factor for various diseases such as coronary heart disease, arrhythmia and stroke, which can result in multiple organ dysfunction[3].Objective The aim of this study was to explore the characteristics of blood pressure variability and the risk factor of left ventricular hypertrophy in Patients with Hypertension and Obstructive Sleep Apnea-Hypopnea Syndrome.Materials and methodsThe study was approved by the department of hypertension in the Henan provincial people’s hospital and was conducted according to the principles set in the Chinese guidelines for diagnosis and treatment of obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome(2015)and 2010 Chinese guidelines for the management of hypertension.A total of 547 OSAHS related hypertension patients who had under included 381 men and 166 women were divgone overnight polysomnography(PSG)and 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring at our institute from September 2016 to October in 2017 were enrolled and they whoided into two groups according to LVMI≥1159(male)(g/m2),≥95(female)(g/m2)[4].Inbrief,adultpatientswith Obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea Syndrome related hypertension, were divided into left ventricular hypertrophy group(N=245)and the control group(N=302).the proportion of male in the left ventricular hypertrophy group was fifty-eight percent while in the control group was seventy-nine percent.General clinical data(Sex,age,Body mass index BMI,the history of hypertension, smoking and drinking),The blood biochemical indicators(total cholesterol, triglyceride, low density lipoprotein cholesterol LDL-C,High density lipoprotein cholesterol HDL-C,Fasting blood-glucose,creatinine,free triiodothyronine FT3,free thyroxine FT4,Thyroid Stimulating Hormone TSH),the blood pressure level of the patients(24-hour mean systolic blood pressure and 24-hour man diastolic blood pressure),sleep apnea related index(apnea-hypopnea index AHI,minimum oxyhemoglobin saturation)and the parameters of ventricle hypertrophy in three groups were compared. To explore the characteristics of blood pressure variability and the risk factor of left ventricular hypertrophy in Patients with Hypertension and Obstructive Sleep Apnea-Hypopnea Syndrome.ResultsThe two groups had a significantly different in Gender composition、drinking、AHI、24-hour systolic pressure variability(P=0.011,0.001,0.001,0.001respectively),The two groups had no significantly different in 24-hour diastolic pressure variability(P>0.05).Logistic analysis of the above factors showed that Female、AHI、24-hour systolic pressure variability were influence factors of LVMI.ConclusionThe Female、AHI and 24-hour systolic pressure variability in the left ventricle hypertrophy group are much larger than that in the control group.Female、AHI and24-hour systolic pressure variability are risk factors for the left ventricle hypertrophy(P=0.011,0.001,0.001respectively).
