Objective:To investigate effects of ulinastatin on infectious complications after hepatectomy and its mechanism.Methods:87 patients clinical data who underwent hepatectomy in our hospital from November 2015 to October 2017 due to benign and malignant diseases were analyzed.According to whether Ulinastatin was applied, the patients was divided into treatment group and control group,of which 42 patients were treated with ulinastatin as the treatment group, and 45 patients were not treated with ulinastatin as control group. The general data before operation, the infection of surgical site(including abdominal andincision infection),distant infection(including urinary tract and pulmonary infection)and the length of hospital stay were compared between the two groups. The infection of the surgical site within 1 years of discharge was compared. Results:The general data of patients with no significant difference before operation(P>0.05),comparable to surgical site infection;treatment group, distant infection rate was lower than the control group(P<0.05),and the treatment group were shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Ulinastatin can prevent and treat infectious complications after hepatectomy, reduce the postoperative site infection, the incidence of distant infection, and shorten the length of stay. But it does not reduce the incidence of complications in the long term infection.
