Objective: To analyze the protective effects of limb remote ischemic postconditioning(LRIP)on acute cerebral infarction and its influence on the level of SOD,MDA,MMP-2,MMP-9 on serum and scoring NIHSS,as to explore the protective effect and potential mechanisms of LRIP for patients suffering acute cerebral infarction. Methods: 1.120 healthy people in the Health Center are selected as control group,120 patients matching testing standards who are suffering from Acute cerebral infarction belong to Case group. There are comparability in the gender and age construction for both groups.Case groups are randomly divided into Control Group(60 cases)and Experimental Group(60 cases)with experimental control and cure methods. There are comparability in the onset time, severity, and gender construction for both groups.2.Instruction of LRIP: Medical sphygmomanometer’s cuff shall be attached to one side of the patient’s radial artery radial artery, then aerate the device until there are 200 mm Hg maintaining the short duration of ischemia on distal limb.Keeping this status for 5 minutes, then releasing the air for 5 minutes, then releasing for another 5 minutes, this is the limb ischemia-reperfusion process.Meanwhile the other upper limb is given with the same ischemic reperfusion treatment. The upper limbs are alternately inflated and deflated to complete the ischemia reperfusion process. There are 3 circulars in a time and once a day for 3 days.3.Biochemical test method was used for determine the vitality of SOD and the level of MDA;ELISA test method was used for determine the levels of MMP-2,MMP-9;NIHSS score table was used for score the neurological function of patients.4.SPSS19.0 statistical software was used for statistical analysis. The measurement data of each group were expressed by mean ± standard deviation((?)± S),and t test was used to compare for the each groups,if P<0.05,the difference is considered statistically significant. Results: 1.Compared with the normal-control group, the vitality of SOD was decreased and the levels of MDA,MMP-2 and MMP-9 were increased in the case group at the time of hospitalization. There was a statistical significance for differences between the two groups(P<0.01);2.There were no statistical difference between to the control group and LRIP group in the vitality of SOD and the levels of MDA,MMP-2 and MMP-9 at the time of hospitalization(P>0.05).However,the vitality of SOD in the control group and the LRIP group were both increased and the levels of MDA,MMP-2,MMP-9,and NIHSS score were all decreased after 14 days of hospitalization. There were a statistical difference between the two groups during the treatment(P<0.05,P<0.01).In addition, the increase in the vitality of SOD and the decrease in levels of MDA,MMP-2,and MMP-9 in the LRIP group were more than normal-control group, the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.01).Conclusions: 1.LRIP can improve NIHSS score in the acute cerebral infarction patients;2.The vitality of SOD was decreased in the acute cerebral infarction patients while the levels of MDA,MMP-2 and MMP-9 were increased,it suggested that the pathophysiological process of acute cerebral infarction may be related to the level of free radicals and the permeability of blood-brain barrier;3.LRIP can improve the activity of SOD on serum and lower the levels of MDA,MMP-2 and MMP-9 on serum in patients with acute cerebral infarction, this suggested that LRIP may exert its protective effect on the brain by lowering the level of free radicals and improving the permeability of the blood-brain barrier.
