Objective :Radiation therapy plays an important role in locally advanced prostate cancer. This article analyzes the efficacy of IMRT in 62 patients with localized or locally advanced prostate cancer and further explores the factors affecting their prognosis.Material & Method:A retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical date of 62 patients with localized/locally advanced prostate cancer who underwent radiotherapy(IMRT)from January 2011 to December 2016;The Kaplan-Meier method was used to calculate Survival rate;the log-rank was used for survival difference analysis and univariate prognostic analysis;the Cox regression model was used for multivariate prognostic analysis. Results :The median follow-up was 31.5 month.Overall,5 patients had died,10 developed clinical progress and 28 had biochemical progress The 2-and 5-year overall survival rates were 91.4% and 78.6%,respectively,the 2-and 5-year clinical progress-free Survival rates were 88.2% and 74.0%,respectively,and the 2-and 5-year biochemical progress-free Survival rates were 63.2% and 44.0%,respectively.No grade 2 or more toxic reactions, grade 1 to grade 2 acute urogenital, gastrointestinal, hematological toxic reactions and bone marrow suppression occurred in 59.7%,37.1% and 9.7%,.The single factor analysis showed that the seminal vesicle invasion?age and PSA levels before radiotherapy were the influencing factors(P=0.015,0.022).Multivariate prognostic analysis showed that the PSA level before radiotherapy was the influencing factor(P=0.010).Conclusion: IMRT is a curative treatment method for localized or locally advanced prostate cancer,it can significantly improve the survival rate, and the adverse effect is low,and the pre-radiation PSA level is the prognostic factor for the independent prognostic factors of localized or locally advanced prostate cancer.
