Objective:With the development of society and the aggravation of the aging of the population, the incidence of hip and knee joint osteoarthritis, arthritis deformans and caput femoris ischemic necrosis has been increased gradually. However, with the continuous improvement of medical standards and patients' demand for quality of life, the number of patients selected for the replacement of artificial joint is increasing. At the same time, due to the iatrogenic factors and patient's own factors, the incidence of joint replacement postoperative complications such as incision fat liquefaction, joint stiffness, periprosthetic joint fracture, periprosthetic joint infection, prosthesis loosening and other complications is increasing year by year.Among of which, periprosthetic joint infection(PJI),with complexity of treatment method, inaccurate prognosis and high disability rate, has bring greater financial burden to the society and the patient, which is considered to be a catastrophic complication after arthroplasty. At present,at the international level, the diagnosis and treatment of chronic PJI is basically agreed, while the acute PJI is still controversial. In this paper,we collected the case data of acute PJI admitted in the department, and explored the treatment effect of combined antibiotic retained prosthesis debridement in the treatment of acute PJI to provide some references for the treatment of acute PJI.Methods:This paper is a retrospective study,12 cases of acute PJI patients admitted in the Department of orthopedics,China Japan Friendship Hospital,Jilin University from March 2014 to April 2017 were collected.5 males and 7 females, aged from 42 to 69 years old, with an average age of 55.58 ± 7.56,7 cases of knee joint and 5 cases of hip joint. Both of them were treated by the combined antibiotic retained prosthesis debridement.Regularly laboratory examination, postoperative Harris score and HSS score were performed to evaluate the therapeutic effect. Results:Among the 12 patients observed, the minimum follow-up time was 78 days, the highest was 850.The average follow-up time was 416 days.Only two patients with knee joint had recurrence of PJI.The success rate was 83.3%.The success rate was 83.3%.Postoperative hip Harris and knee joint HSS score excellent rate reached 100%.Conclusion:In the treatment of acute PJI,combined antibiotic retained prosthesis debridement is effective in controlling infection, retaining prosthesis and improving joint function.
